Davey Suicide is ready to set the world ablaze. On his self-titled debut album, the Los Angeles insurgent injects gutter grit back into rock ‘n’ roll. It’s been far too long since a rebel raged through town with distortion blaring, middle fingers in the air, girls dropping their panties, and flames everywhere. Flanked by bandmates Frankie Sil [Bass], Ben Graves [Drums], Needlz [Keyboards], and Eric Griffin [Guitar], he distills heavy metal, industrial, and punk into anthems that are as corrosive as they are catchy. Whether or not you’re prepared, Suicide has arrived.
As a kid, he always knew the “safe” life wasn’t for him. In order to tune out the fights of a broken home and the pressures of church, he’d crank Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, and Metallica on his stereo and play guitar as loud as his small Peavey amp would allow.
Music kept him away from drugs and other trouble, and his three patron saints became Axl Rose, Marilyn Manson, and Eminem. Beyond adorning his arm within a tattoo tapestry, he learned one important thing from these icons that eventually inspired him to move from the East Coast to Hollywood.

“It’s important to pave your own road,” declares Suicide. “I hit a ceiling. I had some opportunities that slipped away, and I woke up one day with the idea of ‘Davey Suicide’. I needed a constant reminder that we’re all in the driver’s seat. If I give up on myself, shit’s not going to go the way I want it to. I’d rather live by my rules than feel like I’m stuck inside a box. It’s about believing in yourself. Put your trust in Suicide.”
You can begin with the fourteen songs on the album. The first single “Generation Fuck Star” thrashes with intense industrialized guitar and an arena-ready hook. With a music video concept penned by Suicide himself, “Generation Fuck Star” is an unforgettable calling card both sonically and visually.
“It sets the tone,” he affirms. “It represents leaving all of your baggage behind. I’m breaking free from all of the things that have plagued me for years and becoming comfortable in my skin. It speaks to kids who have grown up in fucked up situations. So much watered down bullshit is forced upon the masses. People like the Kardashians get super famous for being talentless. I want to break that mold. We live all of this. This isn’t a costume.”

What you see is what you get, and Suicide isn’t pulling any punches. Targeting hypocrisy, his unbridled honesty courses through the synth snarl of “Sick Suicide” and the stomping riff bitchslap of “Grab a Gun & Hide Your Morals.”
He sighs, “A lot of people choose to be religious because they’re scared of going to Hell. Do something because you mean it not because you’re afraid of the consequences. The thought might be villainous or shocking to what the social standard is. I’m not saying anything untrue though. If people want to believe the façade, I’m going to expose it.”

He also deliberately leaves no emotion untouched. Tracks like “Hustler Queen” and “Uncross Your Legs” ooze a dirty charm, while “I’ll Take a Bullet for You” is a mournful addiction elegy carried by a faint acoustic melody.
On stage, it comes together with a brutal bombast. For Suicide, the show is paramount. “We’ve assembled five guys who are essentially frontmen in their own right,” he adds. “I wanted to have all of the bullets in the chamber and fire them off at once. That’s what we’re about to do.”

That blast is going to leave a big mark, and things may never be the same. Welcome to generation fuck star, and say hello to your new leader, Davey Suicide. — Rick Florino, April 2012

Surfacing from the heart of South Florida, Miami’s Abiotic transcends high above the rest with a most preternatural sound. By interweaving well-cultivated musical dexterity and pronounced lyrical finesse, Abioticepitomizes an unwonted entity of unmatched musicianship. In a short amount of time since the quintet’s inception in 2010, this ghoulish coterie has made a paramount impact in the death metal scene and support from the masses continues to grow.

“I work with an amazing group of musicians and I feel everyone brings something different to the table. It helps us create a sound that’s both fresh, but still very familiar and something almost anyone can relate to,” said guitarist John Matos. There is no doubt that Abiotic has a bright future ahead. These young Floridians never cease to amaze their listeners, and they leave crowds mind blown and chanting for an encore at every live performance. Front man Ray Jimenez expressed: “Our songs deliver a message of self-awareness, for they exhort us to analyze our interaction with the universe: the way we affect it and each other, as well as the way it affects us.” The five piece assault indisputably strives to leave a mark in the world.

The five-piece group consists of vocalist Ray Jimenez, bassist Alex Vazquez, drummer Andres Hurtado and guitarists Matt Mendez and Johnathan Matos. The band has released two singles and a seven song studio EP entitled ‘A Universal Plague’. “Vermosapien”, the second track on the EP, has recently been featured on the quintet’s first music video, directed by Dan Drescher.

More from the band: “In regard to the approach of the album, we can honestly say that it is going to be dark, heavy, and technical. If it sounds like we made the floor cave in or broke a chair when you listen to the record, that’s probably what happened. We’re just destroying everything. All of the songs reach a higher level of viciousness and moshability. We can’t wait to play the new songs on tour!”

“Lyrically, this record embraces several sociological, anthropological, and philosophical perspectives. We’re interested in themes that will enable us to explore patterns and paradigms of culture, religion, and society, among other aspects. Vermosapien, recently featured in a music video directed by Dan Drescher, demonstrates the egocentric superiority of mankind. This song is a paradox about becoming more human as we lose our humanity. We seek to encourage our listeners to analyze our collective interaction with the universe: the way we affect it and each other, as well as the way it affects us. Though lyrics may hold the prevailing interpretation of the writer, because language is arbitrary listeners can always find their own meaning, and we always look forward to that.”

German thrash legends HOLY MOSES, are celebrating their 30th anniversary with the new album 30th Anniversary – In the Power Now. Today HOLY MOSES has released another live video clip with their new line-up. The clip for the song “Decaptated Minds” was recorded at this year’s Walpurgis Metal Days Festival in Germany. It is available for viewing HERE.

Last week HOLY MOSES released the first clip from Walpurgis Metal Days Festival, with their new lineup. Check out the band performing “SSP” HERE.

Check out the re-recorded version of their classic song “Def Con II” HERE.

30th Anniversary – In the Power of Now is available now on SPV/Steamhammer and can be purchased on AMAZON.

The band is now confirmed for the Barge to Hell Cruise in December as well for the 25th anniversary concert of Frankfurts Cultclub Speak Easy in July. More dates will follow!

HOLY MOSES are giving away the snare skins which have been thrashed by drummer Gerd Lücking throughout the whole recording of 30th Anniversary – In The Power Of Now. Additionally the snare skin has been signed by all HOLY MOSES-members who were involved in the production. All you have to do to catch this unique piece of thrash history is to visitwww.facebook.com/official.holy.moses until May 31st!

In 2011 Sabina Classen and her HOLY MOSES men secretly locked themselves into the Absurd Studio in Hamburg, Germany to start the recordings for the “30th Anniversary – In The Power Of Now” double album. The new drummer Gerd Lücking (GiftDwarf / ex-Rebellion) took care of the drum tracks on the new record. The album will have new versions of 20 of the most important songs of the 30 years of HOLY MOSES history plus 2 brand new songs.

The band got together in late summer of 1980 in Aachen, Germany. Despite a number of line-up changes in the course of their career, HOLY MOSES have distinguished themselves through a high degree of musical consistency and downright disarming physical energy. They have been touring Europe regularly with thrash classics such as Finished With The Dogs, The New Machine Of Liechtenstein and World Chaos. When the international thrash scene experienced a perceptible slump in the early Nineties, Sabina Classen took time out from HOLY MOSESand founded Temple Of The Absurd. Based on a new lyrical and musical approach, she released two albums with her new band and reactivated HOLY MOSES at the beginning of the new millennium, followed by numerous shows all over the world, performances at important festivals such as the W:O:A and With Full Force, the Pusam Festival in South Korea, and the release of successful recordings such as Disorder Of The Order (2002), Strength, Power, Will, Passion (2005) and Agony Of Death (2008).

HOLY MOSES are alive and kicking and are set to cheat the grim reaper for years to come!

Today WHITECHAPEL has released the third and final video in a series of which was filmed during the recording process of their new self-titled release, which will be released June 19th on Metal Blade Records. This video focuses on the vocal tracking process. The video can be viewed HERE

The first video in the series provides an in depth look at the drum tracking process for the album and can be viewed HERE. The second installment focuses on the recording of the guitar parts for the new album and is available for viewing HERE

Having spent several years lauded as one of the frontrunners in their genre, in 2012WHITECHAPEL stand as a defining force in contemporary heavy music. Building dramatically on the trademarked bludgeon of their first three releases, with Whitechapel the Tennessean sextet have inarguably delivered their most intense, dynamic, and downright hostile record to date. Drenched in atmospheric darkness, the record is also rife with gripping melodies that drag the listener in to the tumult, willing or otherwise, and across its ten tracks it is infused with an emotional depth that pointedly separates the band from the plethora of two-dimensional mosh-starters that have sprung up in their wake.

The album was engineered and mixed by Mark Lewis (Black Dahlia Murder, DevilDriver), who also handled production duties alongside the band. The album artwork was created by Aaron Marsh of Forefathers Group with art direction provided by WHITECHAPEL.

The first single from Whitechapel entitled “Hate Creation” is available for streaming exclusivelyHERE. Check it out and be sure to pre-order your copy of the album. The complete tracklisting is below:

Whitechapel Tracklisting:
